I have more than an extremity of respect for the irreplaceable Oscar de la Renta… although this a delayed article topic it’s still bearing significance that our society is losing…
“It’s important for [certain industry professionals] to look at the clothes and see them. They shouldn’t have to go through 30,000 people, and 10,000 who are trying to take pictures of all of those people who are totally unrelated to the clothes,” he said.”
Fashion and the art of it has been progressively side-tracked to the attention of celebrities wearing or liking the clothing.
Although talented in art of entertainment.. it does not correlate to the art of fashion… and not to say some people do not hold the talent for both…however I think there should be more weight and attention on the industry professionals and seriousness of the collections, and not who is sitting with who, and which socialite is attending which show.
